| The fig tree or its scientific name 'Ficus Benjamina' is botanically grouped in the Moraceae families. 'Ficus means 'Fig' (fig) in a latin and 'Benjamina' is one version of 'banyan' namely different name which is known as to implore this is widely known in our country as banyan tree, “jelawi” or “waringin”. Decoration tree is originated from this Southeast Asia region which can grow up to 15 metres with a stem reaching up to 4 meters. The leaf is dark green colored, shiny and shaped 2-5' long crown and suitable from sun shade and insulated pollution. The older tree produces a tiny and small fig fruits that changes color from green during bud to black when matured.. Without extra care, fig trees still grows constant and are able to endure extreme weather, although sometimes the weather change has caused the leaves to drop. Fig tree is very popular as a decorative tree. A few 'cultivar' which can be found by tree lovers are 'Gold', 'Exotica', 'Citation', 'Varieta', 'Stacey' and others.
